Volunteers and Internships
FXB CenterInterns are given significant responsibilities within the FXBCenter’s projects. Past intern projects include research on mother-to-child prevention of HIV in Rwanda, mental health interventions for former child soldiers in Sierra Leone, earlychildhood development programs internationally, and policies on streetchildren affected by HIV. Interns work closely with Project Managers. Duties include conducting literature reviews; entering and analyzingresearch data; writing and editing documents; communicating with partner organizations and researchers; assisting in grant applications; performing administrative tasks and providing logistical support forconference calls and large meetings. Former interns include undergraduates, medical and public health students as well as otherswith experience in law and/or community service. Recent college orgraduate school graduates are welcome to apply.
The FXB Center is no longer accepting applications for summer internships. Applications received by the deadline will be reviewed and candidates will be contacted in March. Information regarding fall 2010 internships will be posted to this site by June 2010.
